February 23, 2022Although the electric vehicle market is still in its infancy, INFINITI CEO Roland Krueger predicts that by 2025 or 2030, one in four sold cars will have some form of electrification. Considering the number of cars sold every day in America alone, where roughly 17 million vehicles are sold each year, this seems like a staggering prediction. But what comes after the electric revolution? When will INFINITI stop producing cars that run on gas and become an all-electric automaker?

When Does INFINITI Plan To Be All-Electric?
Most of the attention is on Tesla when it comes to electric vehicles. But other car companies are also making strides towards going electric. One of them is Infiniti. The Japanese automaker has a bold plan that involves a total of all-electric vehicles around 2030.

INFINITI’s head designer Karim Habib recently told Motor Authority that they’re working hard to get the first vehicle ready by 2030. He says the company will have several all-electric models available in two years. And he adds that the number of these models will increase over time until you have a full lineup around 2030.

Habib did say what Infiniti plans to call its EVs, but he does say that they’ll be pretty much like any other Infiniti with plenty of luxury and performance features. The company plans to start introducing more electric vehicles into its lineup, to have nearly half of the models offered by INFINITI to be fully electric by 2025. The company is currently working on a new platform that will accommodate both electric and hybrid powertrains. The forum will also be designed so that it can be used in multiple segments, reducing the costs of development while also increasing their efficiency.

The company hopes to have two fully electric models on the market by 2025. Still, it plans to introduce a few more before then, including a QX Inspiration concept car introduced earlier this year.

The goal for the future of INFINITI is to become all-electric, but it’s unlikely we’ll see that happen until at least 2030.

The bottom line is that the future of INFINITI, like nearly all other luxury car brands, will be electric. It may take some time, but it’s inevitable. For now, the brand is working on hybrid technology and plug-in hybrid technology to reduce its carbon footprint and begin serving clients interested in electric vehicles. It may not be as quick as BMW or Audi when it comes to electrifying their lineup, but at least it’s moving along with a plan.
