The Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk will return to Springfield Saturday, October 28. Now in its 9th year, around 8,000 people, including INFINITI of Springfield employees, will once again take part in this special event that is so dear to all of us.
Breast cancer has affected countess woman around the world, with nearly 200,000 new cases diagnosed each year in the U.S. alone. We want to help put an end to this terrible disease, and this event will help do just that by raising money for breast cancer support, information and research.
Since becoming involved six years ago, INFINITI of Springfield has helped raise more than $100,000 for the cause, and we want to do even better. So far, $32,937 has been raised, with a goal of $212,000. In addition, for every new or used vehicle that we sell, we will donate $50 to the cause.
Registration will begin at 8 a.m. sharp at Hammons Field Plaza, located at 955 East Trafficway Street, followed by the noncompetitive three-mile walk.
