INFINITI of Springfield is excited to introduce the INFINITI Prototype 9. Making its debut at the recent 2017 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, the car celebrates the luxury automaker’s commitment to ingenuity, engineering excellence and innovation.

According to their website, “It represents a reimagining of a 1940s race car with time-honored production techniques employed to realize its retro design.”

Powered by a prototype electric motor and battery, the one-seater hints at what the future of electric mobility will look like. Every detail of the futuristic car was meticulously planned and crafted, including its hand-beaten panels designed by master artisans.

Striking at every angle, the car features unique body panels that are seamlessly wrapped around the steel ladder structure. Other design highlights include the double-arch grille, shark-like gills at the front wheels and crisp lines that flow from front to rear. On top of these signature design cues, the car also dons 19-inch wheels that exemplify luxury.

The cabin is just as impressive as the shell, featuring plush seats wrapped in premium leather covering with red stitching, while the headrests and deep single bucket seat pay tribute to the car’s heritage with symbolic Japanese flags. The steering wheel is home to the driver’s instrument controls that feature an aluminum finish, adding a touch of class to the overall appearance of the cockpit.
