Raising Awareness

Breast cancer statistics are shocking and extremely scary. One in eight women will be diagnosed with a form of breast cancer at some point during their life. It can affect both the young and old. Breast cancer can even affect the male population. While early detection of breast cancer can make a big difference in the outcome of a patient, this is still something that we need to raise awareness about. INFINITI of Springfield is proud to participate in this year’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk of Southwest Missouri. Having participated in previous years, INFINITI of Springfield knows what a difference an event like this can have on the community. This year, the event will take place a 9:00 A.M. at Hammons Field Plaza on October 19th. Registration begins at 8:00 A.M.

Your Support Needed

Many of us in the area know someone who has died from breast cancer, has recently been diagnosed or has been part of a treatment plan for a number of years now. It’s important that we come out to support these people in their fight against breast cancer. After the 3.2 walk is completed, there will be live entertainment, snacks of fresh fruit and granola and merchandise will sold at a Pink Out tent. Free parking will be provided by Plaza Realty. Look for the lot that is next to Hammons Field.
Will your team bring the PASSION?

Sponsors of this year’s event include Reliable Chevrolet, KOLR10, Price Cutter and CoxHealth. You can make a donation at MakingStridesWalk.org/SWMO. You can also stop by 2926 East Battlefield St, Springfield MO. No donation is too minimal. Just $25 can provide a wig for a breast cancer patient in need. One-hundred dollars is enough to run a workshop that will empower and educate cancer patients. A $500 donation will provide funds for lodging when a patient and their caregiver must travel away from home to get treatment. Please think about making a donation and participating in the event this year.
