Winning an award of this magnitude is no easy feat. The annual report looked at more than 200 new vehicles currently on the market, choosing the top vehicles that met the stiff standards mentioned above.
For 2017, the QX60 received a 3.5-liter V6 that increases power by 30 horsepower and 22 more pound-feet of torque. In all, the revised powerplant is able to generate up to 295 horses and 270 pound-feet of torque. Newly available options like a hands-free liftgate and automatic high beams have also been added.
The 2017 QX60 is offered in one trim, and it can be equipped with or without all-wheel drive. Power is sent through the standard continuously variable transmission. The seven-passenger SUV comes standard with a rearview camera, automatic climate control, leather upholstery and much more. Advanced safety features such as Predictive Forward Collision Warning, Backup Collision Intervention Intelligent Cruise Control can be had for an additional cost.
